Harvest Life Foundation’s (HLF) Employment Services Division considers the employers who hire HLF employment-ready clients as customers. Our philosophy is that services must be a win-win situation for both the employer and the client. For that to be the case, employers must receive value from HLF’s employment services. According to the employer partners we currently work with, they do.
The value to employers comes from Harvest Life Foundation’s focus on meeting employers’ business objectives and needs. This is accomplished through the careful pre-screening services provided by HLF’s Employment Specialists, the support provided to employers by HLF staff after a HLF candidate is placed in a job and the cost-effective services provided to employers who hire HLF’s candidates.
Employers often expend considerable resources--either in-house or through employment agencies in finding the right people to fill those sometimes difficult-to-fill positions. By working with Harvest Life Foundation, employers receive qualified referrals and a range of support services-all at no charge to them.

Harvest Life Foundation measures the success of its employment services by measuring how long the employee remains employed. This is a good proxy for how well the employee is adjusting to the demands of a productive and responsible lifestyle.
For individuals with a criminal record, the first thirty days on a job is a particularly critical period of transition. More than 60% of HLF’s employment services clients remain employed after six months. Each month that an individual retains employment and stable housing, their likelihood of returning to prison or homelessness decreases.
